Our publication showing the role of specific galectins in modulating FGFR endocytosis has appeared in the journal Cell Communication and Signaling (Springer Nature). It turns out that certain galectins can facilitate the removal of FGFR from the cell surface, while others can retain activated FGFR on the cell surface, maintaining a constant high amplitude of mitogenic signals, which may contribute to tumorigenesis.
